I need a kernel with squashfs support to use a program to unpack dreambox-images to the HD of my kanotix-pc, can anybody tell how to get this working in a not to difficult way?
ps I run kanotix easter edition with 2.6.16 kernel with kernel-source installed.

I installed kernel-patch-squashfs , but when I wanted to install squashfs-modules-2.6.17-1-686 , I got error that it did not match my running kernel which was indeed 2.6.17-kanotix-1 .
So how can I get squashfs-modules package installed with kanotix-kernel?

I suspect you have already squashfs support, and just do not know it.

frage zum 2.6.24-3-kanotix Kernel: unterstützt der lzma komprimierte Squash Filesysteme? Weil ich versuche grad so ein lzma komprimiertes Filesystem zu mounten mittels Aufruf:

und dmesg liefert als Output:

Das File besteht den md5sum check, also müsste es doch in Ordnung sein
Woran kann es liegen?
Edit: Google findet mir neben den squashfs-tools noch SquashFS-LZMA Sind diese Patches drinn bei deiner Distri, Kano?
