OH-MY-GOD! Sehr glücklich
transparency's delicious!
and also my after-switching-back-to-kwin-the-taskbar-disappears-error is gone!

now i only have to wait for superkaramba to get the problem with desktop-themes solved..
very nice, thx prometeus7

EDIT:
in kwin i can define programs to open on specific desktops (office always opens on my work-desktop, for example) - is there any possibility to get this to work in beryl-space?

Thanks, prometeus. That "transparent cube" feature is very nice.

How do you use the vidcap plugin, anyway?

Does this have the 3D World plugin? If you haven't seen it search for it on YouTube, it's amazing.
Ihave compiled from svn but can't get the vidcap plugin to install so I'll try this if it has 3D World.

It is awesome, videos just don't do it justice. If this version has the plugin, it is the first plugin listed in the options, just under general options.

HM? shame, your system? did you compile it or are there already debs?

EDIT:
ah ok, i think i've found your thread in the beryl-forum. so you compiled. but where did you get the *.so-file in your trial before that?

EDIT:
shame, how comes, your video's playing on each side of the cube/viewport??
shame - 04.12.2006, 02:11 Uhr
Titel:
The 3D World plugin is no longer available as a standalone plugin because it has become part of the latest beryl-plugins package.

I do have the lib3d.so file on my hard drive still so if I can find anywhere to upload it to I'll post back.

<EDIT>
I managed to add it as an attachment.
Unpack the archive and create a directory in ~/.beryl called plugins and move lib3d.so into the plugins directory you just made.

Because the video is my wallpaper.
I did a little guide here - http://forum.beryl-project.org/viewtopi ... highlight=

Or if you want to try it out quickly -
Code:
xwinwrap -ni -o 0.6 -fs -s -st -sp -b -nf -- mplayer -wid WID -quiet name-of-movie.mpg

<EDIT>
Dammit. I keep forgetting about the multimedia legal issues and I'm not sure if I was allowed to link to that guide. In case the link gets removed the bit that's censored is probably the most well known media player on linux. I'm saying nothing more.

videos as wallpapers Sehr glücklich - will check that tomorrow..
thanks very much for the lib-file. i put it in ~/.beryl/plugins, but i dont get options about it in the beryl-settings. anything else you maybe modified?
shame - 04.12.2006, 02:30 Uhr

Well when I installed it manually all it seemed to do was build it and move it to ~/.beryl/plugins but maybe you do have to actually install yourself.
