How can I install KANOTIX to my hard drive without installing the GRUB? I already have several OS on my computer and do not want to overwrite the boot sector.

You just install grub into root partition instead of mbr.

Thanks- worked like charm. Installed KANOTIX to its own partition, booted up into another OS and updated the GRUB menu.
