Titel: Booting hangs at cupsd

I am running Kanotix 2005-4 and all was well until I attached my new HP LaserJet 1020. Now the booting process hangs at installing cupsd, even after disconnected the printer hoping for an easy solution.
Any info would be greatfully appreciated.
