This is the weirdest post I've made to a Linux website. I haven't needed to post on the forums, to ask questions, or to go on IRC for at least a week. My three Kanotix systems are motoring along w/o any drama. Most of the drama up to this point was operator error. While at work today my M$ desktop locked up twice as I attempted to use it.....automatic updates for a variety of programs......evil. Day before yesterday I was surfing the web (graphic intesive sites), copying a DVD, and checking my e-mail (via thunderbird) all at the same time, with a dial-up connection no less and my Kanotix system showed little slow down. I am very thankful for all that has gone into helping my household to be M$ free, while having a blast with a great operating system. I even had a hard disk die 2 weeks ago and was back up an running, just like before W/I hours....most of the time spent looking for a new disk.
Just wanted to say thanks....and for all those curious...Kanotix can easily be your OS of choice. |
