after booting 2006-rc4 from cd, the local disk had two partitions hda1 and hda2 without file-system on them.
i tried to create the file-systems with mkfs.ext3 but it complained about the hda[1,2] been mounted. the mount command did not report them as mounted and umount did not unmount them...
i could not find any obvious process to kill so i had to use older kanotix to create the file-systems... |
