Titel: Dualboot Kanotix - XP: XP startet nicht mehr

Hallo "Wissende",
Ich habe in meinen PC eine dritte Festplatte (sda1) eingebaut, auf die ich mit dem kanotixeigenen Installationsprogramm Kanotix installiert habe.
Auf diese Platte habe ich auch Grub installiert.
Wenn ich jetzt meinen PC starte und alles ohne Eingriff ablaufen lasse, findet er zwar Grub, bleibt dann aber mit der Wort Grub stehen und rührt sich nicht mehr.
Starte ich den PC und wähle dabei mit F11 das Bootmenü und wähle dort die "Dritte Platte",
startet er mit Grub und zeigt mir dann das bekannte Auswahlmenü. Wähle ich dort Kanotix, startet Kanotix und alles läuft einwandfrei.
Wähle ich "Memtest", läuft alles ebenso gut und der Rechner beginnt zu testen.
Wähle ich "Windows Xp" bleibt der Rechner mit dem Hinweis "chainloader (hd1,0) +1" stehen und rührt sich nicht mehr. Ich komme also nicht mehr in Windows.
Was muß ich wo ändern, damit beide Betriebssysteme laufen?
Solltet Ihr noch nähere Angaben benötigen, um mein Problem zu lösen, bitte nachfragen, da ich ja noch ein Kanotix-Anfänger bin, der noch nicht weiß, welche zusätzlichen Infos notwendig sind.
Für s c h n e l l e Hilfe wäre ich dankbar, da ich unbedingt in mein altes System muß.

Hallo
hast du Grub in den MBR installiert ?
Boote mal die Live-CD und wähle den Acritox-Installer aus, dort auf Rettungsmodus (oder wie das heisst) und lasse Grub neuinstallieren aber in den MBR.
Wenn das nicht helfen sollte, zeige mal die Ausgabe von
fdisk -l ( kleines L ) als root |

Hallo Deppsche,
erstmal Danke für die schnelle Reaktion. Mit Grub werde ich das jetzt so machen, wie Du es beschrieben hast. Für den Fall, daß danach gar nichts mehr gehen sollte, hier schon mal die gewünschte Ausgabe von fdisk. Wenn nichts mehr geht, komme ich ja noch mit der Live-CD
hier rein.
Erklärungen: sda (6448 MByte, hier befindet sich Kanotix, sonst absolut nichts.
sdb (40 GByte), ist die C: hierauf befindet sich XP
sdc (80 GByte), ist die D: hierauf sind nur Programme und Daten
sdf (508 MByte) ist eine SD-Karte im Kartenlesegerät.
So, jetzt gehe ich ans Werk.

Das Bootflog auf /dev/sdc1 ist unnütz und sollte entfernt werden. Der chainloader Eintrag in
/boot/grub/menu.lst
Sollte für (hd1,0) so aussehen (es fehlen die map anweisungen):

Hallo Deppsche, hallo Kano,
wie befürchtet, nach Neuinstallation von Grub geht jetzt gar nichts mehr. Im Moment bin ich also auf die LiveCD angewiesen, die ich jetzt erstmal laufen lasse, damit ich weiterhin Kontakt halten kann.
Zunächst das, was ich gemacht habe: Ich habe Grub neu installiert, und zwar auf sdb (C: Xp-Platte). Von MBR konnte ich dabei nichts erkennen.
Danach Neustart mit folgender Bildschirmanzeige:

Nachtrag für Kano: Auf sdc1 hatte ich bisher nichts gemacht, erst nach dem Hinweis von Deppsche habe ich Grub nach sdb, mein eigentliches C:, d.h. die XP-Platte, installiert. Dabei habe ich im Expert-Modus des Installers die Platte nach oben geschoben. Richtig oder Falsch?
Nachtrag 2: Nachdem ich Grub wieder nach sda (Kanotix-Platte) installiert habe, erhalte ich beim Start meines PC nur noch den Hinwei: Error 15. Jetzt geht absolut nichts mehrl. |

Wenn kanotix auf sda1 ist, befindet sich die menu.lst wahrscheinlich auch dort?
Dann probiers mal mit diesem Befehl (sda1 vorher mounten)

grub-install --recheck --no-floppy --root-directory=/media/sda1 /dev/sda
Windows hab ich hier nicht, wenn ich Kanos Post richtig verstanden habe,
solltest du es so eintragen:

Hallo blauweiss,
richtig, kanotix ist auf sda1, dorthin habe ich auch Grub gebracht.
Kann ich das, was Du vorschlägst, aus der Live-Session heraus machen, anders komme ich ja nirgendwo hin.
Und wo und wie mache ich das? Mit welchen Befehlen? In einer Konsole?
Bin totaler Anfänger, ich brauche schon viel Fleisch, um etwas nachvollziehen zu können.

Und ja, du führst den Befehl in einer root-konsole von der Live-CD aus,
sda1 muß natürlich schreibfähig gemountet sein.
Nachzuprüfen mit dem Befehl mount, steht da (rw) bei sda1 dann mach...
Wenn nicht dann zuerst: mount -o remount,rw /dev/sda1 |

Hallo zusammen,
Teilerfolgsmeldung!!!
Kanotix startet wieder aus dem Auswahlmenü.
XP leider nicht, bleibt stehen mit der Meldung: chainloader (hd1,0)+1
Ich denke, da muß noch das durchgeführt werden:

map (hd0) (hd1)
map (hd1) (hd0)
chainloader (hd1,0)+1
Aber wie ändere ich das in der menu.lst? Wenn ich in der lst etwas geändert habe und es speichern will, kommt der Hinweis: Kein Zugriff...

Prima, die menu.lst mußt du schon "von Hand" anpassen,
starte in der root-konsole z.B. kwrite und editiere damit die Datei,
wenn kwrite nicht will dann starte mc, einfach mc eingeben |

Hallo "Helfende",
habe nach längerem Suchen gefunden, wie ich die fehlenden Einträge ergänzen kann:
Konsole aufgerufen
su root
mcedit /boot/grub/menu.lst
Änderungen durchgeführt und gespeichert; siehe da, die Sonne ging auf.
Kanotix läuft
Xp läuft
Das war aber ein unruhiger Tag für mich. Gut, jetzt erstmal Pause, dann geht es ans Verbessern (Updates usw.)
Nochmal ganzl herzlichen Dank an alle, die geholfen haben.

Vorher waren beide auf der 160 GB -Festplatte, aber ich habe eine 500 GB eingebaut, um die 160 GB alleine für Windows zu nutzen. Da die bisherigen 40 GB zu knapp wurden. Auf sda2 befinden sich nur alte Dateien, die ich noch verschieben muss.
Im Bios ist die 160 GB auf sata1 und die 500Gb auf sata3.
Seht ihr eine Möglichkeit Windows wieder einzubinden?
