i'm ashamed to say this, but today is the first time i've tried surfing the net using Konqueror for any significant period of time. i finally got to play around with it today and i love it. from what i've seen so far, it renders better-looking pages (IMO) and consumes far less resources than firefox. however, i really miss the ability to open a folder of bookmarks into tabs in one click, like i do in firefox. i've looked around the settings and i can't seem to find it. does anyone know how to enable this feature? (assuming this feature exists)

btw, i'm using a dist-upgraded Easter RC4 with KDE and Konqueror versions 3.5.4. thanks! |

Yes, it will do it, after a fashion.

1st Method

a. Open a group of pages that you want in a group to be opened together.

b. menu: Settings > Save View Profile

c. Give the grouping a name.

To open the group:

a. menu: Settings > Load View Profile > and then choose one

2nd Method:

Do something similar but build it by hand in the Bookmark editor. |

          | thanks richard! the method you posted did work, but it's a bit cumbersome to have to do that every time you update your bookmarks, because the View Profiles can't be edited after they are saved (or at least i can't). i hope that the KDE guys include this feature in the next konqueror. |
