Hi!
Sorry for the bad english of a french user!
- kanotix 2005-4 was working very well with my old usb speedtouch configured with speedtouchconf... But the last Xorg upgrade crashed Xorg. So I decided to install the new kanotix!
- Kanotix 2006 rc4 : script speedtouchconf do its job : when the script begins to connect the connection is quite good then (after 2 minutes) it slows down and i can't even connect a web page.
What's wrong? something with the kernel? udev? I found nothing on the web about such a "bug"

| Firmware is not there. Also I dropped support for Speedtouch. |

Well, i tried to use another usb modem : Bewan adsl 2+ combo : with the live cd of kanotix 2006rc4 the connection is automatic on eth0 (whaouuu!), but the same problem appears! Knemo shows such a lower connection that it cannot catch a web page!
What is surprising for me is that the connection works. What 's wrong with it? Is there a firewall already running in the system? |

I apologise! The bewan adsl2+combo is quikly configured with Dsl scripts Mypppoeconf. The connection works fine.
I'll let my speedtouch in a museum.... |
